New York was first, and Illinois is now the second state to create statewide laws requiring Green Clean products and practices.  If you can read the handwritting on the wall, this is a trend that other states will follow and the value of a certifiably Green Clean firm is increasingly important.  This trend is not ust for schools.  Much of this cam about after Executive Order 13101 came into place start Dec 6, 2006 and has only increased month by month.  It started with an awareness of Green products into the cleaning carts but will eventually require that the workers be trained and certified as Green Clean Technicians as well.This may be unwelcome news to some unenlightened janitorial services, but it is simply the facts of life in a ever increasingly Green-Consious world.  It will not go away, because demographics show an increasing population with greater needs for sanitation and ecological worries.  The value of being Green Clean Institute certified is going to be a huge asset to those who get on the bandwagon today.  The Green School movement is the threshold for what is coming.  If you wait any longer, the lack of a Green Clean credential will cost you more than the cerification.  It is good econimic and good ecology to be Green Clean Institute certified.
